Make Money with Book Art -
Need extra money?
Are you looking to make extra money? Imagine making an extra $600 or more per week at home. You could be your own boss with what I'm about to show you. This is not a get rich scam, it's an opportunity to get some bills paid, put some food on the table and relieve some stress.
Book Art is so incredibly easy to make! My daughter, 8 years old at the time, made one for her Father for Father's Day.
Book Art makes a unique gift
People are mesmerized by Book Art and can't figure out how they're created. They're willing to pay upwards of $75 each without flinching. Why? Because they're unique and make great gifts. Book Art can be created in as little as 45 minutes and up to 2 hours. However you look at it, the money per hour, while working at home, is not at all bad. I've given Book Art to family and friends for Christmas and birthdays. I've sold them to people who were giving them to loved ones as an anniversary, birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day, baby shower and wedding gifts.
I love making Book Art because it's relaxing and I get to be creative. I enjoy listening to audio books, music or watching TV while making them. It's a mindless, zen-like fun activity.
Turn $.20 into $75.00
I purchase my books to create Book Art from local library sales for about $1 and from the Salvation Army for $0.20 cents each. I look for hardcover books that are in great condition and enough pages. When looking for books, I always look at the title to make sure it isn't inappropriate and I make sure that there isn't any writing inside.
Do I have retail space? No, but I do in a way. I make the Book Art and talk to local businesses about selling them in their stores. This is called consignment. I just ask them if they are accepting items for consignment. What this means is that my Book Art can go into local stores, for the public to purchase and I get paid when my Book Art sells. The store will usually want you to fill out some type of form with your information on it and an agreement between you and the store discussing how much they will expect out of the sale.
The other way that I sell them is through Facebook Local Swap Sites. I belong to many yard sale, garage sale type swap sites on Facebook and they do something called "Porch Pick-Up or PPU." This means that all I have to do is place my item for sale in a tote on my porch and the purchaser will come by on the day she says she will and purchase the item by placing the money in an envelope. I personally have never been scammed out of money.
How to make Book Art
So, you might be wondering how to make these. I found many ways to make Book Art. Some people use Excel, which I
could never figure out, nor would I want to since it wasn't very efficient. Others had a system of measuring with a ruler and making marks on each page of the book. That wasn't for me either. I don't cut my book pages or draw on the closed pages. I knew that there had to be an easier way and there is!
This online program is completely free to use. Visit the amazing Book Art site that will allow you how to create Book Art with a method of simply folding each page that matches the graphic pattern that you print out. It's so simple, it's funny.
You're not limited to the patterns that the program gives you. You can use any image that you want. I've created a book
that says "The Beatles" for my Husband, which is displayed in our home. I use a free graphic design program called Inkscape. If you need to know exactly how I edit in Inkscape, I offer a course with detailed explanations.
I always present the customer's book in a nice, appropriately themed gift bag (birthday, wedding..) bought from the dollar store and a handwritten "Thank you" card with a future coupon on the back. It's a nice professional touch. I have my return customers because of my attention to detail.
I hope you enjoy this creative opportunity to turn into magnificent gifts or extra money. I will be passing out a book and pattern to homeless people to give them an opportunity to turn .20 cents into $75. I believe in teaching a man to fish and eat for life, not feeding a man for the day.
